Heres whats really happening: Eating way too little normally means you’re likely to get stuck in a binge/restrict pattern. Chances are someone who ‘was’ eating 1500 calories and not losing wasn’t actually eating 1500 calories as an average, (this is based on studies done on under reporting calories, I didn’t make this up.) Take into account the binge weekend, night time snacking, any time in the month when they weren’t following the restrictive plan, and the actual daily calorie average is much higher that 1500 calories. Fast-forward that person now eats 2000 calories a day (but can stay consistent) and goes around telling everyone they trained their metabolism. Nah mate. What matters for fat loss is being in a calorie deficit, so you can’t lose weight eating more calories than you burn. BUT, you can eat more calories on a day to day basis and increase your consistency, which makes your OVERALL calorie average over the week and MONTH less than when you were restricting. 👉Increase your consistency and 9 times out of 10 you’ll get better results even eating MORE.
