Safety can be a concern, but here are a few reasons why microdosing can be considered: Microdosing of a GLP-1 drug refers to the practice of starting treatment with a very small (subtherapeutic) dose of a GLP-1 receptor agonist, such as semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy), liraglutide (Saxenda, Victoza), or others, and then gradually increasing the dose over time.
